Full Name: Shauna Marble

HomeTown: Monetville, Ontario, Canada

Age: 27

Countries I've been to: Canada, U.S., Mexico, Burma, Malaysia, Japan, South Africa, Greece, Germany, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Luxembourg, Holland, England, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy, France, Austria, Belguim, Puerto Rico, Dominica, Costa Rica

Languages I speak: English and random words in other languages that are usually inappropriate.

Funniest Outreach Story: I have a couple of stories:  While doing outreach in Poland with my family, we picked up some gypsy hitchhikers. When we dropped them off we found they had stolen one of our suitcases from us.  The cool thing is that they took the bag that contained all our pajamas- not to much of a loss at all!   While in Romania I stayed with a poor family who had 9 kids, and I had to share a double bed with 5 of them! In Burma I once shared my testimony in front of a church, and found out later that people could see through my skirt because the sun was shining through the windows behind me- how embarrassing!    While having fun on a beach in Mexico, I accidentally got pushed onto a dead rotting seal- i stunk for a while!

What I am encouraged by: Cookie Dough Blizzards, My husband Scott, Hiking, camping, and river rafting in the Rocky Mountains,  Being involved with Foothills Search & Rescue

Things I would change about the world if I could: That we would all take better care of Gods creation around us!  If it weren't for the forests and lakes we wouldn't have oxygen to breathe, or water to drink... Plus, its pretty!

Pet Peeves: Customer service people who don't understand the concept of customer service. Automatic anything in a bathroom- faucets, toilets, paper towel dispensers. People who complain about their pet peeves.

Favorite Movie: The Recruit and other such twisty plot, suspense filled, movies.

Something you would never believe about me: I kissed a Tarantula, I read at least 2-3 books a week, I like to eat snails.

The biblical character I most like and why: Solomon.  He made the accurate conclusion at the end of his amazing life that all was “vanity” except obeying God.  Sounds extreme, but to seek anything but what God has for us is meaningless!

Favorite Music: Trance (and no, I don't get into a trance when i listen to it, its a form of dance music)

Favorite Book: “Dangerous River” by R.M. Patterson- amazing! Especially since i survived canoeing down that awesome river!

Favorite Pastimes and Hobbies: Hiking, Backpacking, Canoe Trips, Fishing, Being apart of Foothills Search and Rescue, Camera Club,
