Mission Statement "SBS staff are servants of Christ for the sake of the saints, to the SBS students of Turner Valley, who are called to be trained in the Word for His purposes. Grace and peace from God to Whom belongs all worship. It is with joy and humility that we are involved in creating an environment for you to study, to do and to teach the Bible (Ezra 7:10). The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you (2 Corinthians 13:13)." The School of Biblical Studies (SBS) main and ultimate focus is on the Bible, which is what makes SBS unique. In nine months we go through all 66 books of the Bible about 5 times each. SBS is an inductive Bible study, which means that we seek to allow the scriptures to speak for themselves. What the inductive method really promotes is for the Holy Spirit to speak to the individual personally. What we love about the School of Biblical Studies is that our focus through the whole nine months is ON THE BIBLE. SBS fits into Youth With a Mission as Bible training for people who have already been with our mission and desire more understanding of the Word. SBS is also a great fit for people wanting to get involved within YWAM, but do not want to spend a number of years in Bible college. One of our main goals as a mission is to "Know God and make Him known". Our main desire is for people taking this course to really know God, so we can make Him known the right way. The more you understand God's Word the more you know His character and this is what you give to people when you are out there sharing the Gospel. This is so key and this is our desire for everyone who has done an SBS, anyone who is doing one, and anyone who will do one in the future. The first thing that we desire as an outcome for all who do the SBS, is that the Spirit of God would transform their lives by studying the Word.
