Q: What does a day in the life of a DTS student look like?

A: Lectures; worship and intercession in the morning; various activities in the afternoon - i.e. small groups, intercession, outreach preparation, work duties. Evenings include social activities, study and free time.

 

 

 

Q: What kind of study is involved?

A: Book assignments; research report focussing on the people group the school will be going to on outreach; weekly Bible studies that reinforce the week's teaching; weekly journal assignments.

 

 

Q: Can I get a part-time job during my Discipleship Training School?

A: The DTS is a full-time Christian training school. It is designed so that students are required to pull away from their jobs, school, etc. for a specific time period and give their undivided attention to being trained.

 

 

Q: How many students are usually involved in a DTS?

A: We usually have 12 to 15 students involved in a DTS.

 

 

Q: Do I have to live at the Training Centre?

A: The setting of the Discipleship Training School is to be a live/learn environment. Live/learn means living in a community of shared values for the purpose of accelerated learning.

 

 

Q: What are the living conditions?

A: Dormitory style living - usually with 2-4 people sharing a room.
