The Discipleship Training School is the entry point into YWAM. Each year over 22,000 people go through this 5 - 6 month program - an intensive time of growing in relationship with Jesus and serving Him in the world. If you are looking to get the most out of life, there's nothing like following Jesus! Many who encountered Him nearly 2000 years ago left everything behind just to be near Him - and Jesus led them on an unpredictable and amazing journey of faith. At Turner Valley's Discipleship Training School, you will be challenged to grow in faith as never before. In our 20-week program, you will learn more of God's ways through worship, study and fellowship. You will benefit from the wisdom and experience of international leaders in the Body of Christ, as you examine together what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Topics include: • God's Character • God's Intention for Individuals, Groups & Creation • God's Redemption: Sin & the Cross and Repentance • God's Family: His Children & His Church • God's World: His Call & Commission - Doing The Works Of Jesus • YWAM: Foundational Values and further opportunities When you are not in the classroom, you will be on the field sharing God's love in practical ways. The DTS consists of 12 weeks of lectures followed by an 8-week cross-cultural outreach. The outreach is divided into local and international ministry opportunities, giving broad exposure to various forms of evangelism. The Turner Valley Discipleship Training School outreaches (DTS and CDTS) have a frontier missions focus and minister to an unreached people groups. One of these groups is in Southeast Asia and the other is in North Africa.
